Giacomo Sintini Association
The mission of the Association is to raise funds for medical research against Leukemia and Lymphomas and for assistance in the pediatric onco-hematology and onco-hematology fields.
The mission of the Giacomo Sintini Association is to be a concrete help, present and future for the Cancer Community. We support medical research against Leukemia, Lymphomas and Myelomas and we study solutions to improve the physical and psychological condition of those who are facing the disease. Our geographical area of intervention is national and we support projects throughout Italy by adapting our ambitions to our growing potential. We are convinced that to face the tough tests of life you have to team up and that having someone by your side greatly increases the chances of success. We say to whoever is fighting: “You are in the battle of your life. And we are here, we are by your side! ».
Here are the words of Jack Sintini to talk about his Association:
On 1st June 2011 I was diagnosed with Stage Four Malignant Lymphoma.
I was 32 years old, I was in the prime of my life and my competitive career. I had to undergo 7 cycles of chemo-therapy and subsequently a bone marrow self-transplant. If I am alive today I owe it to many factors, one of which is the great ability of the doctors who assisted me. Medicine is making enormous progress in curing these diseases thanks to research. Oncological hematology is in continuous development and can still improve. . . . . .
With my Association I want to stay on the front line and not forget what these people have done for me!
